First Day of School! Just like Kindergarten all over again! |
Yesterday my API director took me and the other two kids using API as our exterior provider on a tour of Dublin and made us use our maps to navigate around. It was a good way to see the city and we probably walked at least 5 miles. We then ate lunch and walked back to our places. We encountered 43,000 Irish women from all over the country running in a 10k for various charities. Simply put it was quite a sight (Yes, Irish women are quite attractive).
Today we had the first few lectures of our "cultural lessons" (basically a week of lectures covering 2,000 years of Irish History). SHOOT ME!!!! I'm pretty sure my soul was lost somewhere in there, and I fell asleep more times than I could count. I have my interview tomorrow so I will keep you all posted on how that goes. Thankfully I am a ten minute walk from my place so I don't have to pay for public transport. Some of my friends in my house have to travel 30+min. to work every day! I will only be working Mondays through Thursdays for a total of something like 24 days, and we are planning some sweet trips on the weekends. Again, I will make posts about these when they happen.
Some more things that are different about Dublin:
You have to pay to use the "loo" in most public places.
You bag your own groceries and if you don't have a bag you have to buy one.
Never ask for a "ride" in Ireland, always a lift.....I think you catch the drift on that one ;).

Kyle and my bedroom. Both keeping our clean living habits in Europe. |

What is this?! A shower for midgets?!! |
 |
Yup...we fit 7 people in there. |

Looking left down the street outside my house. |

BOOM! Time to wake up. |
 |
St. Stephens Green. This is the biggest Green in Dublin and is absolutely gorgeous! |

ReplyDeleteSomebody forgot to tell the lady on the right in purple that this was more of a walk than a run, just sayin...
ReplyDeleteSo glad our Irish lassies are fit! Love the kindergarten picture. You never did like those "sit & git" lectures. Keep talking to us. What did you delete from Jason? Chicken!
