43,000 Irish Women Descend Upon Dublin

First Day of School!  Just like Kindergarten all over again!
Yesterday my API director took me and the other two kids using API as our exterior provider on a tour of Dublin and made us use our maps to navigate around.  It was a good way to see the city and we probably walked at least 5 miles.  We then ate lunch and walked back to our places.  We encountered 43,000 Irish women from all over the country running in a 10k for various charities.  Simply put it was quite a sight (Yes, Irish women are quite attractive).

Today we had the first few lectures of our "cultural lessons" (basically a week of lectures covering 2,000 years of Irish History).  SHOOT ME!!!!  I'm pretty sure my soul was lost somewhere in there, and I fell asleep  more times than I could count.  I have my interview tomorrow so I will keep you all posted on how that goes.  Thankfully I am a ten minute walk from my place so I don't have to pay for public transport.  Some of my friends in my house have to travel 30+min. to work every day!  I will only be working Mondays through Thursdays for a total of something like 24 days, and we are planning some sweet trips on the weekends.  Again, I will make posts about these when they happen.

Some more things that are different about Dublin:

You have to pay to use the "loo" in most public places.

You bag your own groceries and if you don't have a bag you have to buy one.

Never ask for a "ride" in Ireland, always a lift.....I think you catch the drift on that one ;).

Kyle and my bedroom.  Both keeping our clean living habits in Europe.

What is this?!  A shower for midgets?!!

Yup...we fit 7 people in there.

Looking left down the street outside my house.

BOOM!  Time to wake up.

St. Stephens Green.  This is the biggest Green in Dublin and is absolutely gorgeous!
